10 books! Lots of good reading to do. :) I've got friends' books in your video, which I look forward to reading. I'm also interested in that vampire chef series...hmm! Loved seeing Stormy, Jinx, and Dickens (what a big boy he is!) :)

There is a lot of good reading in this group of books. You're right, Elizabeth.

Dickens is a big boy. The friend who stayed when I went to Ohio referred to him as a pillow that purrs. I liked that.

Fun as always, Lesa. Gotta read that library mystery for sure! Have we seen Dickens before? I don't think so.

I'm with you, Kay. Looking forward to Jenn McKinlay's book.

You might have seen a picture of Dickens at Christmas time, but that's it. He's usually sleeping in the bedroom when I do the book chats. He's not a morning cat. Dickens was one of the kittens born behind a bookcase in my Florida house. He's named after Charles Dickens, and he's a sweetie.

These all sound so good. I can't wait for the Rebecca Hale book.

Thanks, Yvonne. I'm always interested to see which books jump out to people.

My goodness, I will have to add so many of these to my reading list! I loved that Jinx and Dickens were featured at the end of the video!

Yes, Beth. Stormy didn't make enough of her cameo appearance, so I had to allow the boys to have a shot at it.

July has a good selection of books.

Lots of many good books in July, many to add to the TBR list.

Those cats are just adorable. How is it that one of them, this time, Stormy, always come in on cue, when a cat-featured mystery is being discussed? It's uncanny. (Jinx has done it.)

One book to add to the books mentioned here, but which is a terrific read is Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin.

I can't say enough about this book, which is a mystery, but is about friendship and more. It took my breath away, made me cry, then impressed a friend and her father.

I have no idea, Kathy, how those cats show up on cue. When I started working on the video, Jinx was the only one in the room. I certainly had no idea Stormy would come out, and decide to take part.

I'll have to go back and try Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter some day. I started it, and just couldn't get into it. Maybe it was my mood at the time. I'll try again sometime.

Isn't that great, Kris? I like these mysteries. I enjoy sitting down with one and going through them in one night.

I have an idea about the cats coming in on cue.

Could it be that they respond to the word "cat"? That they hear "cat" when you're describing books with cat themes or characters, and then they perk up and want to see what's going on and jump up to see for themselves?

As you can tell, I'm really pondering this.

That could be, Kathy. And, it could be that they come out of the bedroom when they hear me talking because they want to know what's going on. It's possible.

Cats often want to be in on the action. They are very curious, as we know.
